Today is ‘Eedul-Ad.haa which is the second ‘eed for the muslims, and the muslims will be celebrating this beautiful day worldwide.  I woke up early to get to the ‘eed salaah on time and alhamdulillaah managed to get there just as they started praying.  Then the brother gave a khutbah which was about; obeying Allaah on this day of ‘eed, whilst still celebrating and having fun, but in a halaal manner.  Not forgetting that Allaah made it obligatory upon us to pray our five daily prayers, to cover appropiately when in the company of non mahram (non related) men, forbidden for us to listen to music, and freely mix with non related men.  Which is a good reminder maa shaa’ Allaah

Afterwards, we met up with a dear sister that I know, and her husband with my brother, then came to my house for a while.

Then we went out to a resturaunt later on and had some really nice somalian food (although they could improve their service in the place, but you don’t need to know about that ; )).

I’ve recently made a couple of new videos, and have a little list of other videos I would like to make.  Recently I’ve been watching alot of qur’aan videos with the english translation and it’s helping me increase in my Arabic vocabulary and also talks about the aakhirah (hereafter).  You should watch them, I’ll post the videos I’ve created and a couple of the ones I’ve watched in a couple of later posts in shaa’ Allaah.

Oh and I’ve also got to update you on what I’ve memorized of the qur’aan recently, and a book I’ve started reading through and memorizing (arabic text), and my arabic vocab.  Yes, it truly has been a long time!
